Slick Stick 100% all natural cast iron seasoning blend is proudly made in Texas & Veteran Owned. Here at Slick Iron Coatings we love cast iron. We developed Slick Stick to be the best seasoning blend available. Slick Stick seasoning is a carefully formulated mix of hemp seed oil, flax seed oil, grape seed oil & beeswax. We spent months testing and researching until we came up with the slickest, darkest, and most durable coating we could. Sure you can season a pan with cheaper options. But when you want the best for your cast iron, Slick Stick is what you need. Slick Stick – “Better non-stick for your pans, skillets and cook tops” Slick Stick is intended to be used on non-coated cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel cookware only. Please make sure that the cookware you are treating is compatible with the method you intend to use. Read and understand the instructions thoroughly before use. Not all cast iron, carbon steel or stainless steel cookware is oven safe. ***There was an error on the back label on the current batch of products. Please refer to the QR code instructions. The amount recommended to achieve the desired results is 1-2 coats if your pan is new & pre-seasoned. It’s recommended 2-3 coats for a pan that’s been stripped down to bare metal. This has been the recommendation from the beginning in the PDF instructions. The label on the back of the actual product was a misprint that we missed before shipping. We apologize for the error. This will be corrected on the next batch of labels.***

Lodge 7.5 Quart Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven. XL Red Enamel Dutch Oven (Island Spice Red) – EC7D43

Last update was on: Sunday, August 9, 2020

Size:7.5 qt |  Color:Red

Lodge Color Porcelain Enamel on Cast Iron cookware is cast from molten iron in individual sand molds. The porcelain surface eliminates the need to season cast iron. This 7.8-Quart Enamel Dutch oven is great for cooking, marinating, refrigeration and freezing. The color porcelain enamel on cast iron can be used on gas, electric, ceramic and induction cooktops, as well as in the oven. Not recommended for use on outdoor grills or over open outdoor flames. Not for use in microwaves. The cast iron vessel has superior heat distribution and retention, evenly heating bottom sidewalls and even the lid. Tightly fitting lid seals in moisture. The excellent heat retention reduces the amount of energy needed for cooking. Two layers of very hard, glossy porcelain enamel are chip resistant and easy to clean. Lid knob is oven safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. The black rim on the pot is matte porcelain, not exposed cast iron. Hygienic porcelain enamel is non-reactive with food. Although dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm soapy water is recommended to preserve the cookware’s original appearance. 12″ diameter, 4 3/4″ deep. Island Spice. Imported.

Crisbee Stik Cast Iron Seasoning – Family Made in USA – The Cast Iron Seasoning Oil & Conditioner Preferred by the Experts – Maintain a Cleaner Non-Stick Skillet

Last update was on: Sunday, August 9, 2020

Cast Iron Seasoning by Crisbee – The Cast Iron Seasoning Oil & Conditioner Preferred by the Experts – Plant Based Oils With BeeswaxFamily made in the U.S.A.

Maintain a cleaner non-stick skillet.

Very cost effective! One Stik will treat a 10 inch skillet over 60 times when used as directed. Most cast iron seasoning oil products require 1/2 ounce (1 tbsp) per application. This means an 8 ounce bottle equals only 16 applications. Compare and save!

Also works excellent on carbon steel cookware, griddle cooktops, wood cutting boards, wooden utensils, wood knife handles, & gun stocks.

Our products will not turn rancid unlike vegetable shortening, flaxseed oil, coconut oil, or canola oil.

Will help to develop a beautiful finish on all cast iron cookware.

For tough to reach areas, melt a small amount and spread with a pastry or BBQ brush.

Bonds to cast iron. Will not become a brittle surface and flake off like many experience using flaxseed oil.

“I’ve had them on display for a few years and have been using (another cast iron oil) on them to keep the rust off. I never got the deep black that they should of had, but then I was introduced to Crisbee Stik. I will never use anything else on these pieces. The protection they have now is unlike any other. These will be handed down to my daughter when she is old enough and they will be just as good looking as they are now. THANK YOU Crisbee for protecting these family heirlooms.” By Jared M.

“A great online friend told me about this product. The friend owns and has restored hundreds of cast iron cookware pieces. He’s considered a leading expert on cast iron cookware use, maintenance and proper restoration. I started using Crisbee based on his experience. I will never use any other product.” By Amazon User Fitzie63

The following use and care instructions for Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron will help your cookware last a lifetime.

If you do Nothing Else…

Hand wash. Dry immediately—even before first use.

Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every wash.

How much oil? Enough to restore the sheen, without being “sticky”.

Why? To keep the iron “seasoned” and protected from moisture.

Seasoning—It isn’t Salt and Pepper

“Seasoning” is vegetable oil baked onto the iron at a high temperature: not a chemical non-stick coating.

Seasoning creates the natural, easy-release properties. The more you cook, the better it gets.

Because you create, maintain, and even repair the “seasoning”, your cookware can last 100 years or more. Chemical non-stick coating cannot be repaired, limiting lifespan.

Let’s Cook!

Lodge Cast Iron is right at home on induction, ceramic, electric and gas cooktops, in your oven, on the grill, or even over the campfire. Do not use in the microwave.

On glass or ceramic cooktops, lift cookware; never slide it.

Our cookware is safe at high temperatures; use metal, wood, or hi-temp silicone utensils.

Some foods may stick to new cookware (especially eggs). Use a little extra oil or butter until you’ve built up the seasoning.

Acidic foods like tomatoes, beans, and certain sauces can damage seasoning, and should be avoided until the seasoning is well-established.

Cast Iron rarely needs to go above a medium heat setting when properly pre-heated. For the times when you do cook at higher temperatures, bring the pan to temperature gradually and add oil to just before adding food to prevent sticking.

Our handles get hot; use mitts. Use trivets to protect countertops from hot cookware.

To Soap or not to Soap…

If no soap is too scary, wash with mild soapy water and dry and oil immediately. However, consider that cookware is 400ºF in 4 minutes on medium heat and is sterile at 212º F, so soap isn’t always necessary.

Dishwashers, strong detergents and metal scouring pads are not recommended, as they remove seasoning.

Rust?! Don’t Panic, it’s not Broken

Without protective seasoning iron can rust.

It’s really easy to fix. Scour the rust, rinse, dry, and rub with a little vegetable oil.

If problem persists, you will need to thoroughly remove all rust and follow our re-seasoning instructions (below).

Refurbish Your Finish

While maintaining the seasoning should keep your Cast Iron and Carbon Steel in good condition, at some point you may need to re-season your cookware. If food sticks to the surface, or you notice a dull, gray color, repeat the seasoning process:

* Wash the cookware with hot, soapy water and a stiff brush. (It is okay to use soap this time because you are preparing to re-season the cookware).

* Rinse and dry completely.

* Apply a very thin, even coating of MELTED solid vegetable shortening (or cooking oil of your choice) to the cookware inside and out. Too much oil will result in a sticky finish.

* Place aluminum foil on the bottom rack of the oven (not directly on bottom) to catch any drips.

* Set oven temperature to 350 – 400 degrees F.

* Place cookware upside down on the top rack of the oven to prevent pooling.

* Bake the cookware for at least one hour. After the hour, turn the oven off and let the cookware cool in the oven.

* Store the cookware uncovered, in a dry place when cooled.

* Repeat as necessary.

Some Basics

Gas flames should not extend up the sides of cookware.

Match pan size to burner size.

Don’t use in the microwave.

When deep frying, fill cookware only to 1/3 of capacity.

Synra Cast Iron Scrubber, 7 Inches Diameter, Round Stainless Steel, Lightweight, Flexible Chainmail Scrubber, Cleans Cookware with No Scratches or Residue

Last update was on: Sunday, August 9, 2020

How do I use the Skillet Cleaner?
The cast iron cleaner is easy to use without the need for any cleaning products or using detergents. If the food or grime hasn’t dried on yet, simply run warm water from your tap and scrub the pan under the running water. For cooked on residue that has become stuck, it is best to use hot water. Fill your cast iron skillet with water and place on the stovetop to heat it up. The heat of the water loosens up the sticky particles so you can rinse and scrub under running water. Once clean, wipe with a paper towel and air dry by hanging the mesh cloth from the corner ring.

Is the Cast Iron Cleaner by Synra good?
Made with premium quality 316L stainless steel, the metal ring brush cloth is durable and more hygienic than most other pot scrubbers. The stainless steel scrubber, your everyday utility tool is anti-rust and can be used repeatedly for years. The practical size removes gunk without getting clogged up with germs and grime.

What surfaces are safe to scrub clean?
Ideal for cast iron skillets and pots, the small ring scrubber also cleans other non-coated cookware surfaces such as pyrex and grill grates. Scrub your griddle, hibachi, woks and baking sheets without worrying about losing your seasoning or ruining your finish. More than just a cookware cleaner, the metal ring mesh net is equally effective at cleaning your sink and dishes.

How do I use the Skillet Scrubber for cleaning rust off of a cast iron pan?
Other than cleaning leftovers, the Scrubber can also be used for cleaning the rust off of a cast iron pan. Simply, pour a tablespoon of salt into your pan and scrub it with a flat potato surface. After doing it for about a minute, scrub the pan with this scrubber and rinse it under warm water. The rust will go off and the pan will become ready to use again.
